Native to shallow reef habitats in the Indo-Pacific, Green Umbrella Mushrooms are generally peaceful and reef safe, coexisting well with other corals and invertebrates. In addition to photosynthesis, these mushrooms are carnivorous: they capture small fish, crustaceans, or plankton using their stinging tentacles to supplement their diet.
